The Sonoma-Aswan Sister City Committee (SASC) was founded in June, 2008 by His Excellency Aberahman Salaheldin in friendship with Sherri Ferris and Carol Blackman of Protocol Professionals, Inc.™
The mission of the Sonoma-Aswan Sister City Committee (SASC Committee) is to foster international cooperation and understanding through the sharing of information, knowledge, and technology between the cities of Sonoma and Aswan.
To fulfill this mission, the SASC Committee develops and promotes cross-city exchanges of individuals, groups, and organizations in areas such as business, technology, healthcare, housing and urban development, environment, arts, culture, tourism and education.
The Sonoma-Aswan Sister City Committee operates under the auspices of the Sonoma Sister Cities Association
(SSCA), a registered nonprofit organization (SASC federal tax identification: 68-018056).
