- To develop and exchange program and/or activities between Sonoma and Aswan
- To promote international tourism
- To support international trade and economic partnerships between Sonoma and Aswan
- To support increased understanding of international health and education issues
- To support artistic and cultural exchanges and partnerships

- To provide financial assistance to support Sister City exchanges
- To serve as hosts and international guides to Sister City delegations

Responsibilities/Qualifications for chairing a sub-committee:
- Live or work in the San Francisco Bay Area
- Be a paid, active member in good standing . Annual dues are due July 1st.
- Serve as a project leader in a chosen sub-committee and manage allocated funds
- Attend four meetings a year and provide status reports on sub-committee projects
- Sub-committee Length of Term:
The members serve for one year and until successors are appointed. Terms expire at the end of the fiscal year, June 30th.
